The Panasonic PT-AX200U boasts an impressive 6000:1 contrast ratio and 2000 lumens of light, which is enough to provide a brilliant image on a typical home theater screen under semi-controlled lighting conditions. Combine that with true 16:9 panels, HDTV compatibility and superb video performance and it is easy to see why the PT-AX200U is one of the hottest projectors on the market! Video Performance. The PT-AX200U accepts all standard TV and HDTV formats including 480i, 480p, 575i, 575p, 720p, 1035i, 1080i, 1080p restores anamorphic recordings to their proper aspect ratio, and is compatible with all of the world's video systems including NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N and SECAM. Other important features include advanced dynamic sharpness control that enhances only the areas that need it, automatic 3/2 pulldown for showing filmed material, scene adaptive MPEG noise reduction, seven preset picture modes to quickly optimize settings for different source conditions and a video equalizer that lets the user adjust the color in a new easier way than ever before possible. Once the manual settings are made, an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the projector's lamp power, iris setting and gamma correction for the best picture under the current ambient light conditions.
Connectivity. The PT-AX200U offers (1) 3-RCA Component Video input (Y, Cb/Cr, Pb/Pr), (1) Composite Video input, (1) S-Video input, (1) Computer input, and new on the AX200, (2) HDMI digital video inputs. There is also a serial control port for connecting to a home automation controller.
Versatility. This projector operates from any line voltage between 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz with auto sense and auto select. It can project from a table top, upside-down from a ceiling, in front of or behind the screen, direct projection, or with the image reflected from a mirror. The air exhaust is located in the front so mounting it near a back wall is not a problem. A super-quiet 29 dB fan lets you listen to the movie . . . not the projector. To prevent light from leaking out of the ventilation louvers, a dual blade fan design was used to close the gaps between blades.
Manual Lens Shift (Up/Down/Left/Right). The lens shift feature - sometimes called optical keystone correction - allows the projector to
be placed anywhere within its offset range without distorting the image. Unlike digital keystone correction, which does the same thing electronically, the manual lens shift feature leaves no digital artifacts.
Zoom Lens. This projector comes with a 2:1 manual zoom lens that is perfect for most applications. The projection distance should be between 1.35 and 2.7 times the screen width. Minimum image size 40" diagonal; maximum size 300" diagonal.
Warranty: 1-year limited warranty; 90 days lamp.
